To core and surface cleaning:
It can be divided into two types: dry and wet. Dry cleaning is the use of industrial equipment to clean the castings. Common mechanical equipment is simple and easy to operate, has high productivity, and has strong adaptability to dissimilar castings, that is, it can remove the core and clean the surface reasonably. The disadvantage is that there are often smoke and dust in the operation of machinery and equipment, loud noises and environmental pollution. Wet cleaning does not contain smoke and dust, but because tap water is used as a substance, the surface of the casting is easy to rust. The entire operation process caused a lot of waste water and sand with cement, resulting in the reuse of sand and water, and the treatment of industrial wastewater.
Dry and wet cleaning methods usually used in production:
1. Clean the roller. The casting and the star iron are put into the annular barrel together. When the barrel rotates, with the help of the collision and friction between the casting, the star iron and the waste sand, the sand particles inside and outside the casting are removed, the surface of the casting is polished, and some parts can be removed. Raw edges and raw edges. This machine can be used to clean large and medium-sized castings with rough surfaces and thick walls.
2. Shot blasting. Use the impact of fast-knitting steel balls, iron shots, and abrasive flow to remove cores, sand particles, and polish the surface of castings. In addition to these, common shot blasting equipment includes shot blasting table and shot blasting room. The currently used shot blasting machinery and equipment include chain plate shot blasting drum, rotating shot blasting cleaning table, suspended continuous production shot blasting cleaning room, etc. The operation and maintenance cost of this kind of mechanical equipment is relatively high.
3. Hydropower sand cleaning. Using the mechanical energy and erosion effect of the flowing water, the pressure water is irradiated from the spray nozzle to the core and foundry sticky sand in the solved casting according to the pipe. Generally, an open sand cleaning chamber is always available for power generation sand cleaning. The bottom end is equipped with a turntable, and the outer wall is equipped with a spray gun, which can move and rotate left and right, and can irradiate the pressure water to any position other than the bottom of the casting. Sometimes in order to improve the efficiency of removing the sticky sand on the surface of precision castings, wear-resistant materials such as quartz sand are introduced into the middle part of the spray gun to obtain a high-strength water sand flow. It is usually called the method of water sand cleaning.
4. Blast the water to clean the sand. After pouring is completed, when the casting is cooled to the required temperature, it immediately penetrates into the storage tank, and the water penetrates into the mold through the full gap, and it quickly vaporizes in contact with high-temperature metal materials and explodes. The shock wave can remove the sand base adhered to the inside and outside of the casting. The water explosion sand cleaning process has the advantages of fast working speed and high efficiency, and it is widely used in steel casting production workshops in China.
