What materials are needed for precision casting

The metal materials of precision casting companies mainly come from purchased materials, waste castings, pouring risers, etc. The purchased parts are mostly bulk materials, rarely pressed into a cylindrical shape, and materials of different materials are easy to mix up, such as 304 and 430 materials mixed with 316 materials. Therefore, precision casting companies should try their best to choose to press into cylindrical materials. Analyze the chemical composition of each batch of feed with a spectrometer. If possible, the supplier should conduct on-site inspections to assess whether the materials are marked, protected and stored in isolation.

The company's scrap steel (waste castings, pouring risers) must be treated with rust removal, degreasing, sand removal and cleaning and drying to control the S and P components. Moreover, scrap steel of different materials shall be marked, protected, and stored separately, and shall not be mixed.

So, under normal circumstances, which precision casting materials should be used?

In precision casting, it can be used for stainless steel, carbon steel, alloy steel, etc., and can be used for precision casting. However, it depends on the specific situation.

Precision casting is a special casting method, referred to as precision casting. Under normal circumstances, since more accurate castings and higher casting accuracy can be obtained, no mechanical processing is required. However, we can also perform heat treatment and cold processing according to the needs of the product. The main types of precision casting include investment casting and pressure casting.
