1 Overview
Precision castingAlso called "dewaxing casting". Generally, wax molds are coated with multiple layers of refractory and thermal insulation materials. After they are hardened and dried, the wax molds are melted to produce a mold shell, which is then baked, and then forged at the back to obtain the forging system software. Because the obtained castings have high specification precision and general gloss, they are also called "investment casting precision castings"
The process of precision casting. The types of alloys that can be produced according to precision castings include carbon steel, carbon steel, heat-resistant alloys, stainless steel plates, precision alloys, rare earth permanent magnet alloys, bearing alloys, alloy copper, aluminum alloy profiles, titanium metal and malleable cast iron.
The appearance of wax mold castings is very complicated. The minimum diameter of the forgeable hole on the casting is 0.5mm, and the minimum wall thickness of the casting is 0.3mm. Castings are forged immediately, saving comprehensive man-hours and metal composite material consumption, thereby making the part structure more effective.
The net weight of investment castings is mostly 0.10 Copernicus (that is, dozens of grams to several kilograms). Precision castings are relatively inconvenient to manufacture large and medium-sized castings, but the net weight of large and medium-sized investment castings at this stage has exceeded 800 Copernicus.
The precision casting process is complicated and difficult to control, and the actual operation and crushing of raw materials are expensive. Therefore, it is suitable for the production of small parts with complicated appearance, high precision requirements or other production processes, such as the blades of supercharged overall planning machines.
