The solid molding production is highly efficient and high, and it takes up a small area; for medium parts, various types of boxed molding machines can be used. The press molding machine production line and the air-punch molding line meet the requirements of the fast and high-precision molding production line. The core making methods can be: cold core box, hot core box, shell core and other high-efficiency core making methods. Medium and large batches of large castings can consider the use of epoxy resin self-setting sand for molding and core making.
Nowadays, among the precision castings produced by precision casting enterprises, about 60 to 70% of the precision castings are produced with sand molds, and about 70% of them are produced with clay sand molds. The reason that sand precision casting usually accounts for the majority is due to the low cost of gas and simple steps. Therefore, all precision castings of auto parts and accessories are classified as sand precision castings.
Bottom pressure precision casting, die casting, centrifugal precision casting and other casting methods are not easy to produce. The key is that the production cost is expensive.
For heavy-duty precision castings produced in small batches, hand-made modeling is still the key method. Hand-made modeling can be integrated into a variety of complicated requirements is more flexible, and does not require many processing technology weapons and equipment. Can use sodium silicate sand mold, vrh method sodium silicate sand mold, organic chemical ester sodium silicate self-setting sand mold, clay dry type, epoxy resin self-setting sand mold and concrete sand mold, etc.; for heavy precision castings produced from loose parts, choose bottom The pit modeling method is low-cost and quick to build and put into production. For mass-produced or long-term shaped products, multi-box modeling and split-box modeling are more suitable. Although the initial project investment of abrasive tools and sandboxes is high, it can be compensated from the aspects of saving comprehensive modeling man-hours and improving product quality.
