Causes of brittle fracture of stainless steel precision castings
The stainless steel casting method generally adopts precision casting. When the stainless steel precision casting shell is cast, brittle fracture (i.e. brittle fracture) often occurs during the machining and installation process. If this problem occurs, the entire furnace casting will fail. Cause this phenomenon There are many reasons. Here is an example.
The reasons for brittle fracture of stainless steel precision castings are as follows:
1. The amount of deoxidizer aluminum used in the smelting process is too high, which easily forms aluminum nitride inclusions when combined with the nitriding in the steel, making the casting brittle.
2. In the furnace lining, the dosage of boric acid is too high, resulting in the occurrence of carbon boron compounds, that is, boron embrittlement.
3. Excessive carbon content and other alloying elements exceeding the promised scale will also increase the brittleness of the steel. For example, when pig iron is used to increase carbon, if the addition is not careful or uncalculated, it will definitely bring harmful elements.
4. The molten steel is seriously overheated, the heat treatment operation is improper, and the grains are coarse.
