Dewaxing casting method for precision casting
Dongguan precision casting is a general term for the way that non-metallic materials are used for molds, and the product specifications are more precise than ordinary castings. It includes three categories: dewaxing casting method, plaster mold method and porcelain mold method. Let me talk about the dewaxing casting method first:
There are two types of dewaxing casting methods: solid core mold method and pottery shell mold method, the latter is an improved method of the previous one.
The solid core mold method takes into account the cold shrinkage amount of the wax mold, the heating expansion amount of the mold and the cold shrinkage amount of the molten metal material, and makes the abrasive tools similar to the final casting specifications. The melted wax is poured into the abrasive tool made of metal material or silicon rubber. After the wax is removed, it is infiltrated into the slurry formed by mixing the ultra-fine powder refractory insulation material and the adhesive.
After dripping, spread the coarse-grained refractory insulation material to make it dry. Put it into the casting frame, spread the fireproof particles mixed with adhesive, and then dry. Then it is heated to melt the wax and flow out to form a mold. Heat the mold at a high temperature to burn off a small amount of residual wax and improve its compressive strength, and then introduce the molten metal material.
The pottery shell mold method to the wax mold is the same as the solid core mold method. After only one dip and sand (or floating sand), the overmolding work is not carried out, but the dip and drench are carried out several times. Sand until you get the thinner shell of the reservation. Drying, heating, melting to discharge the wax, and high temperature heating to pour again. This type of method is generally used by the practitioners of dewaxing precision castings at this stage, because it has the following advantages:
(1) The specifications have the best reliability;
(2) The demand for refractory insulation materials is small;
(3) Lighter weight, easy to transport, solve, and make large castings;
(4) Manufacturing can be partially automated technology to save human resources and increase production speed;
(5) The product cost is lower;
(6) The pottery shell mold is thin, the cooling speed of the castings after pouring is high and symmetrical, and the characteristics of poor mechanical equipment are the best.
