At this time, if the casting continues to cool, the thick-walled part will undergo phase change and increase in volume, because it is already in an elastic state, and the thin-walled part will be elastically stretched internally, forming a tensile stress. When the solid phase transformation occurs in the thin-walled part of the casting, the thick-walled part is already in an elastic state.
