Precautions for stainless steel casting process

Precautions for stainless steel casting process include:

The parting surface must be flat: Stainless steel castings must have a flat parting surface to avoid flash and burrs.

Improve the boss and rib structure: When stainless steel castings are placed on the boss, mold removal often occurs. After shortening the distance behind the boss and extending it to the parting surface, it will be more convenient to take out the model.

Avoid external undercuts: Stainless steel castings must avoid undercuts, because indentations on the side walls of the castings will affect mold ejection and increase the complexity of the casting process.

The wall thickness cannot be too thin: The wall thickness of stainless steel castings cannot be too thin, otherwise white spots will occur.

The casting slope should be appropriately larger: The stainless steel casting slope should be appropriately larger than that of sand castings, generally 30%-50% larger.
