The reasons for the brittleness of precision casting are as follows:

1. The amount of aluminum in the smelting deoxidizer is too large, and it will easily form aluminum nitride inclusions due to the nitridation reaction in the steel, which will make the casting brittle.

2. Too much boric acid is used in the furnace lining, which makes the carbon-boron compound in the steel "boron brittle".

3. Excessive carbon content and excessive allowable range of other alloying elements will also increase the brittleness of steel. For example, when pig iron is used to increase carbon, if it is not carefully added or calculated, it will cause harmful elements.

4. The molten steel is seriously overheated and the heat treatment is improperly operated, and the crystal grains are coarse.
